Our fuel doors are constructed from mild steel. They are designed to be welded into steel panels or bonded to fiberglass panels. When installing in fiberglass they are bonded to the back side and the door is set to rise up and through the cut out. This technique eliminates seams that would surely show when shrinkage occurs. Let us know when you order so we can prepare your fuel door for a fiberglass installation. Pictured sequenced instructions on our website will guide you through the procedure. A new oval (OVC/OVF) and rectangular (RGC/RGF) door with a larger opening that makes it easier to refuel at stations that have larger vapor recovery tubes.
