Reader Michael Crain has a series of photos that belonged to his father, Alan Crain. “These are cars and people my Dad knew in the early '50s when he used to race in Santa Ana, CA and I believe it was the old airport run by C.J. Hart,” says Michael.
“I wish I could say I had all the cars he used to have but unfortunately he got rid of them. I do have the pictures and a few of his trophies, but the only memory I have of him and his cars (I was born in '52) is when he drove one in parades and threw candy from the car.”
Michael hopes that some of our readers can help him identify some of the folks in the photos, or at the very least some of the cars or locations.
