January 22, 2015….Sacramento, CA…..For the last 64 years the presidents Day Weekend has been the time when the Northern California car enthusiast looks towards the upcoming Sacramento Autorama. A once a year chance to see the new creations from some of the worlds best Hot Rodders and Custom Builders / Designers. Over the years this automotive extravaganza has gone from 9 days to 4 days and over the last decade, a three day, must see event over the President Day weekend.
This year, Rod Shows owner John Buck is moving the first day of the show to Saturday February 14th and brining the curtain down on Monday evening February 16th, Presidents Day. “Extending the show hours each day, 10:00am to 9:00pm Saturday & Sunday, On Monday, 10:00am to 6:30pm with the awarding of the Custom D’Elegance Award starting at 4:00pm. “This will give all the spectators ample time to see this huge motorsports happening covering all 14 buildings at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds plus the outdoor Drive-In show on Saturday and Sunday” said owner John Buck.
Celebrities have always been a big part of the Autorama and this year is no exception, with two of the “Hottest” UFC fighters in the world will be signing autographs for the fans. On Sunday “The California Kid”, Urijah Faber will be on hand from Noon-3pm and on Monday it will be UFC Bantamweight Champion from Angles Camp, CA, T.J. Dillashaw signing from Noon to 3pm.

The Star of Velocity Channels’ “Bitchin Rides”, Dave Kingdig from Salt Lake City, UT will be on hand throughout the weekend meeting the fans and signing autographs. Plus, this year the Autorama honors Sacramento builder, Paul Camilleri for his contributions throughout the years, bringing high quality, state of the art vehicles to the Autorama. Paul will have a three car display and be available throughout the show to meet with fans and talk about what it takes to build show winning vehicles.

Other highlights for the 2015 show will be the largest ever Car Club display in the Autorama’s 65 year history. The “Butch Gardner Club House” which will feature over 270 cars on display from over 23 car clubs in and around the Sacramento Area. Add to this the hundreds of cars from as far away as Monza, Italy in completion for the I.S.C.A . (International Show Car Association) points and awards, the show is trending to be the biggest and best Autorama in years.
In addition there is an Audio Competition and Exposition, Pedal Car and Bicycle Display, Automotive Vendors with their latest products, a huge Model Car Display and Competition, the “Suede Palace” for cool classic customs, A Pin-up Competition, Live Music In various buildings throughout the show, a charity Pinstripers Auction on Monday, plus great food, this is a do not miss event for the auto enthusiast this year.
