The SCTA California Mile at the Mojave Air and Space Port has given a launch date of April 23-24 and registration is now open for this 2016 event.
After a successful SCTA Mojave Mile last year, the SCTA has formed the New California Mile. The big difference is that the newly named SCTA California Mile is now a "Records Setting Event".
This will be an Open Record Event, and every class has no record and no minimum. This is your chance to set a record in any class you choose to enter, and you are permitted to enter one class per day. However, there will be a maximum of just 125 entries, so make sure you register soon. Get your Pre-Registration in by March 30th. If your vehicle makes it to the end of the mile, even if you have to push it across, you'll get the record if you're the fastest car in the class.
Camping will be available for all entries and their crew. Camspites are 20' X 40' and are $25 for the weekend.
