It 's a Corvair Parts "SuperStore" .... Clarks Corvair is a business founded out of love of the car back in 1973 which over the years has grown to 8 buildings with over 60,000 square feet. There are now over 14,000 part numbers, 26 employees and they produce many of their own parts, including complete upholstery sets, mechanical parts.The Clarks Corvair set of catalogs is now over 600 pages.
The Corvair power train and suspension is very adaptable and has been used in many hot rod applications as well as dune buggies, and sand rails, and VW conversions. The Corvair motor will still challenge any rice burner on the street.The Corvair steering box has been reversed and used in many hot rods over the years as well as the entire front suspsension. After 70+ years of trouble-free metal-to-metal engine protection, emission requirements for new cars is forcing the removal of ZDDP (zinc dialkyl dithiophospate) from domestic motor oil.
