At a monthly meeting, CEO Bill Neumann proposed helping out our seriously injured vets by giving a $15,000 Action Track Chair -- everyone readily agreed that we need to do more to help those that keep us free.
After a lengthy search, many requests and help from Veterans Alliance of Southern California, it was finally agreed to give the Track Chair to Staff Sergeant Odin Ayala who lives in El Cajon, CA. Odin served three tours in Afghanistan, and on the last tour stepped on an IED and lost both legs, and other injuries.
It was a great day when Odin arrived at NEUSPEED and was greeted with much applause. He couldn't believe the beautiful Track Chair, powder coated in NEUSPEED red colors and black upholstery. The seating and foot rest is fully adjustable. The big battery pack under the seat is capable of running the Track Chair up to 5mph with 5-hours of operation.
In getting his life back to normal as much as he can, Odin, a former football star in high school, wants to be a coach. The Chair will allow him to easily move up and down the field. The Track Chair has a large tank-like-tread and can be used in snow, sand and woods with ease, and can climb a 30-degree slope, so Odin can practically go anywhere.
Bill Neumann said he hopes this gift to a wounded warrior inspires other companies to do the same. And Bill said he would help with all the contacts he has made. Email Bill at: [email protected]
