The competition is always fierce at Darryl Starbird’s National Rod & Custom Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The “Go for the Gold Winner” receives $10,000 and the honor of being part of an elite group of cars known for excellence in creativity, workmanship, execution and individual design with imagination.
This year’s winner, a 1949 Studebaker owned by John Saltsman, was chosen from nine other impressive vehicles, all of which receive a “Fine Nine Trophy”, which acknowledges that they were all worthy of recognition.
Among these vehicles, Mike Willey’s 1932 Ford Coupe won Darryl’s Personal Choice award and Mike Kinney’s 1947 Dodge was chose as the Hall of Fame winner.
Congratulations to all of the entrants!
