Ford Car Clubs throughout the West Coast held the 27th Annual Fabulous Fords Show at Knott’s Berry Farm on April 22, 2012. The Fabulous Fords Forever was the organization responsible for this outstanding show, and they are the umbrella council for the various Ford car clubs in the area. This year they had 36 Ford car clubs in the Western Region participating in the show. The weather was a little overcast but that kept the temperatures comfortable. The parking lot was packed with over 1800 Fords from 1903 to present. Each marquee has it’s own area and are in order by year. Some of the models represented were Galaxie, Fairlane, Mercury, Lincoln, Edsel, Thunderbird, Falcon Cougar, Bronco, Pinto, F-series trucks, Ford bodied street rods. Manufacturers on-hand were Ford Racing, Shelby, Saleen, and Roush.
The grassy infield area held the tents for 15 car clubs that represented; Pickups Limited, Shelby Club of Los Angeles, Lincoln Zephyr Western Region, Ford Truck World F-100, T-Bird Club, Bronco Central, Cougar Club, many Mustang Clubs, Early Ford V-8 Club, So-Cal Galaxie Club and many more. They also celebrated special marquee anniversaries in the grassy area. This year it is the 45th year of the Mercury Cougar, 55th year of the dubious Edsel, 50th year of the of the Shelby Cobra, and the 80th year of, America’s first muscle car, the 1932 Ford V8.
