(Pleasanton, CA)—The Bay Area Roadsters will be honored as the Featured club at the upcoming Goodguys 29th West Coast Nationals presented by Flowmaster, August 21-23. Club members’ cars, members and memorabilia will be on display inside a special parking area at Windmill Hill near the clock tower at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.
The Bay Area Roadsters was officially formed in 1959 by founder Don Brusseau and four other members. From humble beginnings, the Club has progressed to the present where the maximum membership of 25 has remained full for over the past 13 years. The Club currently has 12 members with 25 years or more, which qualifies them as Lifetime members of this Club. There are also 6 more members with 12 or more years of active membership in this Club.
In 2009, one of the Members, Dave Shaub, completed an AMAZING TASK, driving his '32 Roadster through 49 States in less than Nine Days! This was a charity drive benefiting the children and families at the Stanford Ronald McDonald House. Dave drove 9856 miles and so far has raised over $100,000, with more donations and pledges still coming in. For the full story check out Dave's Web Site @ www.49IN9.Com.
