For many years this New Years Day garage tour has taken hot rodders to some special places. The 2012 Cruise began at Elwood’s Garage, which had some very cool Hotwheels “stuff”. The ’51 Spartan Mansion trailer was showing some good progress. Richards Hot Rod Shop is a working garage full of lots of cool “works in progress”. Glenn’s Garage had vintage cars and parts presented in a pristine, museum quality setting. |
The day was so nice we took a drive through Belmont Shore then, south on PCH to Yoder’s Sign Shop. Then on to Steve Davis’ Garage. Steve had several projects in the works. The main one is Mickey Thompson’s 1968 Bonneville Streamliner that Steve & Danny Thompson are preparing for another record challenge. Danny was on-hand to welcome the cruisers. Now it’s back to PCH and south to Dana Point and back to “Ruby’s” in Laguna Beach for lunch. Thanks to these garage owners for opening up for us on New Years Day!! Thanks for the Show! |
