Hello from Kansas! This car was rescued from a cow pasture in Ottawa Kansas in pieces, the body was in the field and the frame by the barn and what little was left, under a tree covered in poison ivy. I paid $1.00 (one) dollar for it and hauled it home or it was going to be crushed! The car was too far gone to restore but felt it would make a great Rat Rod with the goal of low budget/have fun and drive it as much as possible attitude. It's powered by a '78 Camaro 305 V8 with turbo 350 automatic, stock rear differential with 4:11 gears and stock front suspension. Many '57 Chevy parts left over from a previous project and many parts from other cars and trucks. The drivers door was missing so I did what I had to do (not many of these cars left) I built one from scratch using the passenger door as a template and a product called A.C.M. The door opens and closes just like the real thing and surprises most people when they realize it's homebuilt. Some bodywork had been started a long time ago by previous owner but it was left as is. Built as pictured for less than 1K, driven as much as possible and has been to many car shows in the Kansas and Missouri area. This car was featured in the December '09 issue of Rebel Rodz magazine and I am a member of the car club the Kansas Outlaws.
Thanks for letting me share,
Michael Schrick
