Here are photos of the garage during it’s transformation. Approx. 6 months my wife asked me if there was anything I could do to make the garage look better. I have to admit, I wasn’t sure. It had open rafters, no dry wall, and a single 60 watt light bulb. Pretty much, it was a mess with stuff all over the floor.
The rafters were reinforced and now the entire ceiling is an attic with an extra large pull down ladder. It now has more storage than we need. I also put lighting up there as well. The entire garage is sheet rocked with additional plug in’s. Florescent lighting. 12x12 black & white tiled was put on the floor. I then decorated it with photos from my racing days, some coca cola memorabilia, pub tables, bar stools, stereo, 32" flat screen TV, a 1969 Rock-ola juke box, and misc. decorative lighting. It looks very cool in there at night. We have had parties in there and recently had our wedding rehearsal party with approx. 20 friends and family. The neighborhood people that walk by always enjoy stopping and looking.
JoAnn works for an airline service and I retired last Nov. after a 28 year career in law enforcement.
I will take a couple more photos how it looks now since I’ve changed and added a few things.
