Hi to all the Hot Rodders from North of the border! Here are some pictures of my home shop and two steel Willys Coupes a '40 & '41. The blue car is a '40 Big Block Chevy powered. It has a 468 LS5 block fully machined and balanced, 11:1 forged pistons, ZL1 camshaft, ported oval port heads, strip dominator manifold, speed demon carb and full MSD ignition. All professionally assembled with ARP hardware. Turbo 400 trans with B&M stage 2 shift kit, and narrowed Ford 9" out back. It's riding a custom low-ride chassis featuring Fatman and Chris Alston components. It is one cool ride. The car currently under construction is a ‘41. It is powered by a 392 Chrysler Hemi 40 over block with milidon 4 bolt mains. Chris Nielson custom ground solid lifter cam, and fully polished and ported heads filled with stainless valves by Valley head service. Ross blower pistons on crower 426 Hemi rods. The Weiand blower manifold will be running a 6-71 with Hilborn EFI. This will transfer the power through a 727 trans and a Dana 60 out back. I’ll be using Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners. The car has a 10 pt cage and will be NHRA certified. All this is riding on my own low-ride rectangular tube chassis which uses Fatman & Alston components. I’m running ET III wheels with some serious rubber in back! I hope to have the car done for GoodGuys Indy 2005 and make a few passes. I’ve included some shots of my tools and workshop as some past projects. both cars were constructed by myself at home including paint. Hope you all enjoy and have a great rodding season! I’ll get some more pictures later on when I get this sucker rollin’! Duane Evans! |
