Weiand is announcing the availability of their new short style non-adjustable Team G aluminum water pump for Chevy small block V-8, P/N 9220.
The 9220 water pump is designed specifically for competition built engines found in circle track and drag racing. The 9220 Team G water pump features a ¾” impeller shaft and fan locator with a ½” thick dual bolt pattern billet hub. The dual bolt pattern hub means added versatility. Another option added for the racer is an adjustable cam trust stop. Weiand Team G water pumps utilize an exclusive housing with a “twisted snout” permanent mold tooling process for the ultimate in styling, casting quality, and surface finish that is 30 to 50% lighter then an OEM cast iron water pump. Inside this exclusive housing is a bearing counter bore where Weiand installs heavy duty roller bearings and seals. The counter bore design ensures bearing form and prevents bearing walk out. All Weiand Team G water pumps feature an exclusive 8-blade stamped cast aluminum impeller specifically designed to eliminate high RPM cavitation and provide maximum water flow with less horsepower drag on racing applications.
