After many years I finally got my 32 Roadster! Been a long wait and many times I was interested in something else or the price on a roadster was more than I wanted to pay.
One day while driving around town, I saw a for sale sign notice on a 32. I drove up and read the sign. The price was not bad, but with me being semi-retired, I thought it was not to be, but then noticed on bottom he might be interested in a trade for an old truck. I have a 1948 Chevy 5 window truck that looks super and cruises like a dream and thought MAYBE!
Drove in and talked to the owner. Showed him pictures of my truck and we got together to drive each other’s vehicle. We consummated the deal and I had to boot a few grand, but I finally had my Duece!(GRIN)
After getting it, I started to upgrade and fix many things that were wrong. Changing to stainless screws on areas and Changing the wheels from American Racing to old School Cragar SS with huge ones on the rear.
Still planning on upgrading to either a 671 supercharger or a better carb set up, like adding a cherry on the desert
Love driving it with my Grandkids! And one picture is with my Grandson Christian. The color is so loud (PPG Rattlesnake Green) it attracts people all the time and when I fill up, I always have people come over and ask about the car!
A loooong wait, but definitely worth it!!
