This story is about my wife Debbie Alvey, who has been married to me 30 yrs., of Hotrods Builds. She has been through many Hotrods builds and showing over the years with me. The last couple of years I got less interested until my wife asked me to build her a car. She picked the paint color, wheels, and tires, designed the interior, etc. She picked a Ford 1959 T-Bird- very rare, hardly ever seen in shows. Hardest car to build of all the cars I have had over the years.
But winner winner chicken dinner, she has renewed my interest in the NSRA. From seeing her winning at multi shows and NSRA coverage of multi local show picks have been a blast. Seeing the happiness of my wife represented in the local car shows and in NSRA nationals has truly renewed my faith in Hot Rodding. I have built her a trophy case in the shop, which she has filled in two short years and surpassed all I have ever done.
NSRA kickoff week shows wins, Parades, TV coverage, calendar picks, meeting our Mayor from Louisville Kentucky, representing Wounded Warrior Shows and Hospureus/ Camp Quality Cancer/ Dream Factory shows to name a few
The support is overwhelming. The old saying ‘behind every hot-rodding Man is a Good Wife’ applies here. She deserves this.
