Greetings Fellow Street Rodders,
We just back from the NSRA Street Rod Nationals and what a show it was.  We arrived at the Best Suites Airport Expo around noon on Thursday and was greeted by a big sign proclaiming "Welcome HOTRODHOTLINE" and we knew we were at the right place.  These people were so courteous and the rooms were everything we were led to expect!  They had water hoses and even vacuum cleaners for the rodders and on Friday evening they had a barbeque and hot dog with slaw and baked bean dinner for the rodders, they definitely made the show much more enjoyable.  I reserved my room for next year before I left, I highly recommend them, trust me.  Anyway we had great weather for the show and the NSRA registered something like 11,300 cars.  It just seemed like the weekend flew by, with meeting all our old friends and making many new ones the weekend was over before we knew it. And things got back to normal from this end, with having finished my new '32 3-win, Minnie was kept busy taking care of cleaning on the car while I attended to my public relations chores, one problem though, the public relations got to be so demanding with all our friends coming by that Minnie had to stop cleaning and help with public relations and now she claims that if she has to do both jobs she wants a raise, now that we are back home I hope to reason with her concerning this, gotta be careful how I handle this, hope she doesn't decide she wants to stop cleaning and do public relations, very touchy subject.  Also I had several people asking about the "Coveted Minnie's Award" well for those of you whom are not that well informed about this subject, let me explain, in order to keep Minnie happy with doing her job, cleaning the car, while I do mine, public relations or in laymen's terms BS with the guys, I agreed to let her pick a car of her choice and give it the Minnie's Pick Award and I convinced her this award would be equal to such awards as Boyds Pro Pick, Top 25, etc., and she was happy.  Now I know you guys are my friends and won't tell her any different, right, makes Jacks' life easier.  So when you see her ask her to consider your car for the Minnie's Pick, and you just may get selected the "Coveted Minnie's Pick Award", makes you happy, Minnie happy, and lets me carry on with my public relations duties.  With having explained all this I know you are on the edge of your chair wanting to know who received the Minnie's Pick in Louisville, well you are in luck Minnie just informed me, with drum-roll and fanfare, that George Lang's '32 Ford Roadster, yes the AMBR winner is the recipient of the "Coveted Minnie's Award" and she thinks her award ranks right up there with the AMBR award, please don't tell her different.  And I stopped by the MHRA Repair Shop and said Hi to the guys and thanked them for the service they provide for our sport, and those guys really looked good wearing their new HOTRODHOTLINE shirts, keep on keepin' on guys.  Now that you have become bored with my public relations BS lets look at some great Streetrods.  See ya...Jack!!!
