On January 11, myself and my buddy Charlie from North Jersey Street Rod Association left at 5:30 am to get an early start to a winter event.  I'm speaking about the Annual Open House sponsored by Posies in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.

We arrived early on a cold Saturday morning and basically watched as a few hundred visitors began to show up to see what was going on in this famous small mecca for street rod enthusiasts.  There was a collection of about eight cars outside in various stages of disrepair waiting to be massaged in the design and body shop.

As we entered, we were treated to coffee and Krispy Cremes.  (I counted at least 30 boxes of doughnuts.)  Charlie and I, watching our boyish figures, did not partake of the doughnuts.  Further into the shop, it was evident that some vendors were present to display their wares.  A'37 pickup, a deuce 3-window, a soon-to-be eye catching Nash Metro were in the shop under construction.
