Hey Guys & Gals
This was a trip we planned last winter.  We decided to skip the Street Rod Nats and ride our Harleys to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.  Four couples in all - the guys would ride and the women would fly out, ride with us for the week, then fly home - the guys would ride the return trip.  From my house, the round trip totaled 3,826 miles - would I recommend it?...Absolutely.  Would I do it again?...In heartbeat.  If you have looked at some of my hot rod coverage's, you'll notice we usually "truck" with our friends Keith and Carol Diehl.  Once again, they were part of this trip, along with Keith's brother Larry and his wife, Karen.  Larry (aka "Buck") is building a neat '57 Pontiac by the way.  Also along was Bill and Marsha Morton, and of course, my wife, Judi.  We made arrangements to stay at the Black Forest Inn B&B.  It turned out to be a real nice place, run by Isaac and Cindy.  This was their first experience with bikers, and as you can tell, we're a rough bunch!  Anyway, we rode about 700 miles while in the Black Hills.  This is an absolutely beautiful part of America - everyone should try to make a trip to see it.  We saw Mt. Rushmore, The Badlands, The Crazy Horse Memorial.  The memorial to Crazy Horse is huge! - all four heads from Mt. Rushmore can fit into just the profile of his head!  We took another day and rode into Wyoming to see the Devil's Tower National Monument - another spectacular sight.  On our first day riding in SD, we got caught in a herd of Buffalo crossing the road while riding through Custer State Park - awesome animals.  So, without further ado, it's on with the show!!!  Enjoy...Steve!!!
