Hi All I was hard at work on my Friday, when I received a phone call from my good buddy Dale Eaton. It seems Dale had full credentials for Reno Nevada’s Hot August Nights. The problem for him was, he could not take his sweet ‘67 Chevelle up the hill. His plans for overnight storage fell through. So, he says to me, why don’t we drive your roadster to Reno when you get off work? All you have to do is pick me up! I don’t feel like driving my Chevelle home at night. Do you mind driving your roadster at night? I told him I don’t mind at all, but he better bring a jacket if he wants to hang with the big dogs. The rest is history! We had a blast and the drive was great. Reno is like the Super Bowl of car shows around here. During the cruise, the spectators were about ten deep on both sides of the streets. Dale did not purchased tickets for next year, so this is probably the last opportunity both of us are going to have. The tickets sell out during the event for the following year. And they are offered first to current ticket holders. After they sell to current ticket holders, they are all gone. So, once I was off work, I rushed home to get my roadster. While on the freeway, I saw a really cool black roadster blasting down Highway 50. Like I wasn’t excited enough! I picked-up the roadster, then Dale, and we were off. We cruised in Reno until 10 at night and then we drove home. I have not been to Hot August Nights in about 10 years, so I really want to thank my buddy Dale. I had a wonderful time! Enjoy the pictures! Brian!!!
