Hey Gang
We just back from the NSRA Nats South in Knoxville, TN., and it was a blast. The weather was great on Friday and Saturday but the Rain on Sunday and it rained all day, however, it let up enough to hold the awards ceremony. I didn�t get a final car count but was somewhere around 34 or 35 hundred. Needless to say we had a great time, checking out all the cars and vendors. On Friday afternoon Johnny Cate, Mo & Curley Rod & Custom, was kind enough to give The Over the Hill Gang Car Club, from Dayton, OH., and Minnie and I, a personal tour of his shop in Knoxville, TN. And believe me when I say I was very much impressed by the work that was being done there. Johnny and his beautiful wife are really nice people and we would like to thank them for the tour and are looking forward to going back when he gets the huge new addition to his shop completed. Look for some great cars to emerge from this shop later this season. Minnie and I spent the biggest part of our time with all our great friends in the Over the Hill Gang Car Club, they are really a super group of people, and we had a wonderful time. We ran into a great number of old friends which we hadn�t seen for quite some time, for example our friends Steve Arnett and his beautiful wife Judy. We visited with them for quite a while, in fact I think we drank all their coffee. Steve is also a roving reporter for HRHL, and you may be surprised to learn it was because of him that I came to be here. Check out his show coverage, he does a great job.
