Hi Gang On April 29, 2004, Minnie and I were lucky enough to attend the 2004 Lokar Open House and Appreciation Day held at Lokars ultra modern facility in Knoxville, TN. Now I dont think I need to explain who or what Lokar is, or does. Any Rodder worth his salt is well aware of this. When we arrived we were greeted by the Beautiful Debbie and VP of Marketing, Rick Craze, who was kind enough to give us a complete tour of their factory as well as a look at some of their great Street rods. This factory is ultra modern and super Hi Tech. We looked at all the NEW products available to the Rodder, Ive used Lokar products for years and was really impressed with all the new things available, before the tour was over I had drooled all over my wish list which I had been making. Their new Polished Skull Shifter Knob was to die for, I tried to get some pics of it, but it was so bright and shiny the pics were ruined by the camera flash, and two different styles of gas, brake and dimmer pads, the new floor mount gas pedals with the cables running under the floor boards and the shifter cables and the beautiful Billet Dash Inserts and on, and on, and I could go on forever, trust me you gotta get one of their new catalogs and see for yourself. I wanted it all, good thing Minnie dragged me out of there or I might still be there. Rick took us in back where he showed us some of Skip and Debbies beautiful Cars. Minnie fell in love with the famous Lokar 32 Roadster and I fell in love with Skips steel 32 3-Window Coupe. Finally we managed to get a grip on ourselves and went outside to look at all the great street rods that were there. We looked at cars and took pics to share with you, our friends, and then we ate a great lunch served by the caterers and then looked at more cars, and laughed and talked with friends, and in general had a great time. In the afternoon they held a drawing and gave away, I dont know how many, but a great many products which they manufacture. Everyone there had a great time. It was our first time there but you can be certain we will back next year, and I suggest you be there also. Before leaving Rick informed me there were around 800 registered Street rods and they had served around 2,300 meals. Now you tell me we didnt have a great time. Now look at some of their new products and join in the fun. Skip, Debbie, and Rick we thank you very much for the hospitality and look forward to doing it again next year. Now please enjoy the pics. Jack!!!
