Well it rained on me and my camera again Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, but Saturday the sun came out and so did the lead sleds and custom cars.  My number on Friday morning was 3179 at the 26th Annual James Dean Run in Fairmount, In. This was also the 50th Anniversary of James Deans death in California.  45,000 to 55,000 people were expected to show up over the weekend to pay their respects to James Dean.

Saturday we went to the Ducktails in Gas City, IN. We arrived at 7:30 AM and I was 2017 and cars were coming in all day. There were about 5 or 6,000 cars at the park and it was full, and a little muddy.  The Flame thrower Show went on all day and Count Kennedy with his flame-throwing coffin was a sight to see.  He was a real showman and the crowd loved him. It was a very busy and fun weekend with more cars than this one photographer could photograph. George Reed
