Luling, Texas is the home of the "Watermelon Thump", a 3 day festival that featured the 5th annual car show on Sunday. The turnout this year was better than the show promoters were expecting, so there was some concentrated effort to get everyone parked, but no one was turned away.   Fine cars, hot sun, ice cold watermelon.....a good time.    The prize winning watermelon this year was an 81 pounder!!

"Let's go to Luckenbach Texas with Willie and Waylon and the boys".....The song was a big hit and so was the car show
For a town with an official population of 25, they sure know how to put on a car show. They had a good turnout (about 75 cars). It's an ideal setting, with all the shade trees, great scenery and the historic little town. This is the second annual, and I'm looking forward to next year.
