The week long gathering of studebaker enthusiasts in Spokane, Wa. in August 2005 was the culmination of a years planning by the Inland Empire Studebaker chapter. Each year, the international meet is held in a different location. This one was the first held in the Pacific Northwest since 1993, where Portland, Or. was the location. 350 Studebakers and over 1100 Studebaker Club Members converged on the Red Lion Hotel on the Spokane River. The Show N Shine was held at Riverfront Park, on the lawn. One of the largest classes was the Custom and Modified cars. Our week consisted of photographing all the entrants, especially the 125 judged vehicles, getting shots of the action surrounding the event such as the huge vendors area, the tours and auctions. We drove out to the Hot Rod Cafe in Post Falls, Idaho for dinner one evening and spent Friday on tour with the antique Studebaker folks with lunch at the fantastic Davenport Hotel. What a fun time! If Studebakers are your thing, join us in Omaha, Nebraska next September for the 2006 International Studebaker Meet.
