The 7th annual Cruisin� Downriver began at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2006 and thousands of cruisers drove several miles up and down Fort Street through the cities of Lincoln Park, Riverview, Southgate, and Wyandotte. The gathering was expected to swell to as many as half-a-million cruisers, enthusiasts, and spectators, making this event second in size only to the annual Woodward Dream Cruise. Indeed, many prefer Cruisin' Downriver because of the more relaxed and less commercial atmosphere. Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of what it was like.
