"One of Austin, Texas' premier car clubs is the Hill Country Street Rodders. Every year, in order to get the club's coffers healthy and to help support their favorite charities, they put on the "Show-N-Go Nostalgia Drags" at the Little River Dragstrip near Temple, Texas, an event that hot rodders in this part of the country look forward to. This year, the odds were that it would be canceled by the very heavy rains that Central Texas needed so badly. While it did rain all night the night before the event, the morning saw the skies clearing and the track drying off. The gates opened on time and the drag cars and show cars started streaming in. The dragstrip featured a totally resurfaced track which made for some great racing, and what could be better than watching fine old coupes and roadsters pairing off for a little quarter mile action! A big thanks to The Hill Country Street Rodders for once again putting on an event that could be enjoyed by all" Richard "Too Low" Haas www.streetroddersforever.com And www.donutgang.com
