"What happens when you combine a Saturday with perfect weather, fine hot rods and antique airplanes? One heckuva good time, that's what!! Local hot rodders Paul and Kathy Wright put out the effort once again to get the pilots and the hot rod jockeys together and once again they were very successful! The grass landing strip at Kingsbury,Texas was the site for this Fly-In and the quality of the planes and the rods was incredible. This kind of event is a great way to break the tedium of a long summer full of car shows with something just a little different. There were cars from Austin, San Antonio, Houston and all points in between. There were several area car clubs represented ( including the Gear Grinders from San Antonio and the Donut Gang from Austin), as well as several different flying clubs. Antique planes are every bit as much an art form as hot rods and this was definitely an art show!!!"
