"Hot as a firecracker just doesn't do justice. Frying eggs on the sidewalk doesn't paint the picture. Now, a raw, green Jalepeno pepper....that comes close. It was just plain HOT in Luling, Texas this past weekend for the Luling Watermelon Thump and Car Show. But that didn't stop anyone at all from bringing their favorite set of wheels and enjoying the music, crafts and championship watermelon seed spitting contest. There were around 90 cars registered and it seemed like blower motors were the order of the day. It was a great gathering."
