"Last year was the first time for the Bastrop Veterans Day Weekend Car Show and they had a turnout of 168 cars. This year the host club, The Bastrop Area Cruisers, reported 165 pre-registered cars and eventually there were 250 cars that showed up! There were a couple of parking problems due to the incredible turnout, but all in all it was one fine gathering. The Texas Oldsmobile Club brought 29 fine Oldsmobiles and other area clubs were equally supportive. The show is held in downtown historic Bastrop Texas, and besides the cars, there were many arts and crafts on display along with the fine shops that Bastrop is known for. There were several ceremonies during the day to honor America's Veterans, and there was live music going on most of the day. I was only able to capture photos of a small portion of the cars that were in attendance. There was something there for everyone, no matter what your taste in automobiles." Richard "Too Low" Haas
