Organizing, planning and running a charity car show is a lot of work. But, creating a successful show, can make you feel very good. This years show benefited Care House - The Home of Child Abuse & Neglect Council of Oak Land County. Sadly, child abuse and neglect is a very real problem everywhere. This years show broke all of our previous attendance records. The cars were outstanding, the music rocked, the food was great, the goodie bags overflowed, the sponsors were outstanding, and the raffles went on all afternoon. A children’s coloring contest with prizes made the kids happy. The beautiful trophies where presented by Mark Phelan, Auto Critic of the Detroit Free Press. I encourage everyone who can to become involved and volunteer for a charity event. Or, at least, take a kid to a car show, they are the future of our hobby.
