Each year we look forward to another year of car shows and warm weather, and with the coming of summer comes the Road Kings Annual Picnic Car Show (June 10th) at Johnny Carson Park across from KNBC in Burbank, Ca. Why is this car show so special? Let’s see, first of all it’s a no competition car show, just everyone out to have a good time and enjoy the camaraderie. Then there’s the car show venue. Johnny Carson Park has rolling hills, a little brook running through it, shade trees and lots of room to handle the hundreds of cars that participate in this show. The car show is entirely free, however donations are asked for and freely given because all of the money, every $, goes directly to charity; the Kiwanis Club preps all the food and all money they collect also goes directly to charity. Finally there’s the sponsoring car club, the Burbank Road Kings. This is the friendliest bunch of car nuts you’ll ever meet.
