There is a great variety of common cars like 40 Fords done in a great variety of themes, all fun to see, especially the Handyman Special Tudor. Much loved cars that we all saw, or drove, included late 40s Fords, mid-50s Mercs and Fords, and more than a few Chevies. A new generation was there in force, with all kinds of fun club names, young gun artists designing new-old school cars, and some very inventive takes on old themes, especially with pickups. My old 32 Plymouth roadster was back in Autorama for the first time in 32 years, resurrected by Otto and Evan Hahne in a late thrash to clean up 34 yearsw of patina. There were also 2 quarter midgets with their supporting station wagons that were a typical rig back then. The folks that ran the registration did a great smooth job even though the main entrance door broke for the weekend. This was just a smattering of all of the interesting cars to be seen and many didn’t even use stanchions, so you could really get up close to study them.
