The Connecticut Dragway Reunion is a once a year Cruise Night/Show and also a gathering of nostalgia drag cars that raced at the long-gone Connecticut Dragway complete with a Cacklefest at 7 p.m.when the racers all fire up their cars and make some noise...This years show had over 600 cars at the beautiful Mountain Ridge Resort. You could not ask for a nicer place to hold a show. There was a fantastic variety of cars; When was the last time you saw a 59’ Ford Woody Wagon or a Mark IV Lincoln; How about a blown Hemi powered, chopped, channeled and sectioned ‘40 Willys Roadster with ghost “real fire” flames, all kinds of street rods, muscle cars, classics and a sleeper Plymouth Valiant with a 383 Magnum stuffed under the hood.
The weather and location were perfect, the cars and crowd were great and it left us wishing that it was a “once a month” or “once a week” meet instead of “once a year”. We already can’t wait till next year. The sun was against me on every other row of cars as you can see in the pictures, but I hope you enjoy checking them anyway. Walt
