"Little River/Academy drag strip is about an hour North of Austin, Texas and is the scene of a couple of great events each year, one of them being the Kontinental Kar Klub's Annual Meet. Each year it has grown and this year surprised everyone!! There were rods from Houston to the South and Dallas to the North as well as plenty of cars from the Central Texas area.
This is not bracket racing! You choose 'em off and run heads up! While the track is a little short on shut down room at the end, it is in an ideal setting, well shaded by the huge Texas Pecan trees, and there is plenty of parking for all. With the Kontinentals being the host club, it is no surprise that there were plenty of "Rat Rods", but it was not limited to the patina crowd. There were more than a few "high dollar" rides there showing off their ability to get down the quarter mile. The weather couldn't have been better and, all in all, this is the kind of event that makes you grin all the way home!"
