"I have watched the "Lone Star Round Up" grow over the years, from the first gathering of about 60 cars in a High School stadium to the 700 cars this year, and have always waited with eager anticipation for its coming. Many thought that the very nasty weather in Central Texas over the weekend would keep attendance down, but they under estimate the devotion of True Hot Rodders!!
For the first time the event was held at the Travis County Exposition Center due to the fact that Fiesta Park, where it is usually held, would have turned into a giant mud bog. I'm not sure of the economics involved with using the Expo Center, but it sure makes for a nice Car Show!!!
The weather on Saturday was as ideal as it gets, the music was awesome, the crowd was huge, and, most important, the cars we incredible! The "Lone Star Round Up" remains that one event I look forward to all year long!" Richard "Too Low" Haas
