Petersen Automotive Museum: I could not have made the trip to LA without stopping here. The Museum houses some of the finest displays of historical cars that I have ever seen. Including two of the deuces that were included in the 75 most significant at the Grand National Roadster Show. Numerous cars from the 1960’s designed by Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, his Rat Fink character memorabilia and the history of the outstanding career of Roth himself were substantial features. Along with that were exhibits of hot wheel cars, Chip Foose, and a 1950’s speed shop-complete with performance parts of the time and an exhibit of after market car radios. Anyone remember a Motorola radio kit featuring the am/fm radio, 4 speakers and instructions for $29,00. I don’t but it was from the early 1960’s. The displays were exceptional and also included a drive in restaurant, 1930’s Ford dealership and dry lake racing-both with the cars and films from the late 1940’s.
