Hi, Once again we made a trip up the Ca. coast to one of the best car shows in Ca.. We have gone to the Bent Axles Car Show in Santa Maria, Ca. for several years now and have never had a dull time. This is a 3 day show packed with activities, cars and prizes. I was lucky enough to win a Turbo 350 trans. this time along with other prizes. The weather was perfect and the Ventura Highwaymen, were out in force and we were accompanied by several members of Ventura Vintage Rods also. Fri. was check in day and Strawberry Shortcake was served to us just before the drawing for prizes. Sat. is the car show along with Casino games for prize drawing tickets (what a blast).Sat. afternoon was prize drawing again. Sun. was a 45 mile Poker Run ending up at a large park for Santa Maria style BBQ and you guessed it MORE Prizes. The Bent Axles make it a point to make this show a memorable one and to show their appreciation they all line up at the exit and wave, thank and wish you a safe journey.
