" The Donut Gang car club of Austin, Texas holds an annual safety inspection where members can bring their hot rod and get it up on a lift, which they may not have a chance to do otherwise, and have the Gang take a look for any safety problems they might not be aware of. Of course, there is some good natured kidding about whose car is the cleanest underneath and whose car could or couldn't make a long cruise, but we all realize the importance of checking brake lights and body bolts and stuff like that.
Donut Gang member Bobby Hohmann operates Hohmann's Auto Repair and opens up his shop and facilities for this event. It also gives club members an excuse to chow down on some good stuff; this year it was chicken fajitas. We also use the opportunity to get a few photos of the guys and their cars, and, all in all, just have a good time while we take care of safety needs." Donut Gang member, Richard "Too Low" Haas
