white beard, and as all the kids came rushing toward him, we immediately knew it was Jolly Ole Saint Nick aka SANTA CLAUS. As we watched with awe Ole Santa grabbed a nearby rocking chair and immediately the kids started lining up to sit on Santa's Knee and tell him what they wanted for Xmas, alas, such a sight to behold, I was in shock, but as I came to my senses I realized Minnie was shaking me and yelling for me to take some pics of this wondrous event. And in a blink of an eye all the kids had told Santa what they wanted and Santa was back in that Corvette and as he roared off all heard as he shouted 'Merry Christmas to All and to all, have a safe trip home' I was still in shock as all that tire smoke surrounded me and I remember thinking, 'Man that is one Baaaad Corvette' and in a blink of an eye he was gone. I'm just glad there were so many people there with their cars and thankful for all the spectators, and trust me there were a lot, because without all those witnesses, I don't think anyone would believe me, they would probably say smart alec things like 'smoking them left handed cigarettes agin, are ye' . We had a great time and on the way back our little group, consisting of Vernon Lunsford and his wife Seatie, Bill Wells, Dennis Asher, William Hudson, Larry Sizemore and Kenny Albro and his wife Kaye, stopped in Tazewell, Tenn. and visited an old restored Gulf gas station. I was impressed and took several pics for your viewing enjoyment.
In closing I want to say, it looks like the car show season is coming to an end in this part of the country, but we have enjoyed it and are looking forward to doing it again next year. To all our many friends, May God Bless You and Yours form Minnie and Myself. Jack Roberts
