With the tree still blocking the road, carpools were in order for the drive over to Willis Johnson’s Copart family compound. Approximately 150 pristine hot rods, mussel cars and classic Detroit iron horses rest in climate controlled buildings. Johnson's collection is arguably one of the best in California complete with a working garage and soda fountain.
Of special note if you haven’t heard, the Copart corporation will be the main sponsor of the Branden Bernstein's Top Fuel dragster for the 2010 NHRA season as well as the season effort for Kevin Harvick’s No. 29 NASCAR cup entry for the upcoming season. And if that wasn’t enough, Copart auctions will be the feature of a new Speed TV series “Sold In Seconds” program that will begin airing the first week in March, 2010. Enjoy, Bob Choisser
