Back to the Fifties is one of our favorite shows and this year was a perfect example of why that is ! The weather was fabulous ... no rain until Sunday afternoon .... and the turnout was great. There were over 10,000 cars and happy rodders on the grounds of the most beautiful fairgrounds in the country.
One thing we love about exhibiting at shows is that we get to see so many of our friends. Minnesota is our first chance of the year to see our friends from the Michigan Hot Rod Association Hot Rod Repair Shop. These guys do such a wonderful service, doing repairs on rods that have mechanical problems at a show. Can you imagine having an engine problem or some other mechanical problem at a show and having to find a place to get it fixed ? It's the kind of thing we don't think about until it happens to us ... and it does happen to many rodders at shows, you'd be surprised. That's why Hotrodhotline.com is so proud to be one of the business sponsors of this group...... they're a great bunch of guys and we consider them among our best of friends !
John Stimac drove his awesome new 32 Ford Sedan Delivery to the show and was honored to have it shown in an area of special placement at the show. It's a great looking car !
The trip home was great ..... it's such beautiful scenery going through West Yellowstone Park, and of course there are the stops we must make to scout out small towns for cars. We think Montana is the best place for barn finds and field cars ..... we saw this old farm truck in Glendive, Mt. but there were lots more that we didn't get pictures of .... Miles City, Montana could be a virtual gold mine of cars hidden all around but we just don't have time to hunt them all out.... maybe some year we will !
