This was the 20th year of this “must see” event in Southern California. What makes a great show? Location, location, location! Belmont Shore (2nd Street in Long Beach) has the location plus mild summer temperatures. You’d go there to spend some time even if there wasn’t a

great car show to enjoy. An estimated 500+ pre-’75 Hot Rodders attended the show. Cars lined both sides and the middle of 2nd Street. By 9:00 the street is packed with spectators and cars are still coming in! The Bay City Rodders did a good job keeping things organized. Thanks for the Show!

Don & Pat Johnson from Bellflower, CA., don’t get their blown ’39 Ford coupe out much, but when they do it is always nice to see.

Owner Phillip Cole of Seal Beach, CA. is always asked “does the Indian head light up?” His very clean ‘49 Pontiac Chieftain Streamliner has a very distinctive hood ornament.

Jon Baverstock of Long Beach, CA. started with a ’33 Chevy 5 window coupe body, added a “4-up” GMC 6 cyl motor and then started to improvise. An amazing creation!
