Autumn in Charlotte, North Carolina; it just doesn't get much better than that!
I arrived in on Wednesday a little before ten in the morning. By 11:15, fellow Westchester Street Rod Association member, Les Madaus and myself were on the first tee at Rocky River Golf Club on Bruton Smith Blvd in Concord, NC.
The GoodGuys Southeastern Nats was a reunion for me with fellow WSRA members Dick Royer and his wife Pat, Rick Talbot and his wife Lynn, Dick Feile and his wife Terry, Al Larieviere and his wife Jane and of course, Les Madaus.
The weather on Wednesday and Thursday was perfect. Friday was a little overcast and I can only describe Saturday as "dank". The show itself was great. We were entertained on Friday evening with the new attraction of drag racing at the new Imax dragway. These guys put on quite a show.
