Original Equipment Reproduction (OER), partnered with the TV show “Chop Cut Rebuild” and D&P Classic Chevy (Huntington Beach, California) to debut a special 1969 Yenko Tribute Camaro as a special treat to journalists attending the company’s first annual media open house on July 30 at their newly remodeled warehouse and showroom in Westminster, California.
As the project’s principal sponsor and a long time supporter of “Chop Cut Rebuild,” OER, an authorized manufacturer of GM parts and accessories, contributed an extensive list of parts and accessories to make the 1969 Yenko Tribute Car possible.
To make an even bigger bang, OER also unveiled a 2010 SS/RS Camaro coupe, also built by D&P Chevy in to reflect a modern version of the muscle car, with the styling cues of a classic Yenko. A variety of OER and (sister company) Classic Industries project cars and trucks were also on display throughout the huge warehouse. I few special cars from D&P Classic were also on display in front of the building.
In addition to unveiling the Tribute Cars, Jeff Leonard, CEO of Original Equipment Reproduction, also discussed aspects of the current state of the collector car hobby and made clear that current economic events would have no affect on the availability of parts and accessories through OER.
“As a faithful GM-Authorized parts and accessories manufacturer, we felt an emerging need to keep the media and the public informed of how we can help them get what they need,” said Jeff Leonard. “The Media Open House was designed to assure everyone that OER will continue to provide much needed GM products to all enthusiasts, restorers and hobbyists,” he said.
OER General Manager Mark Vogt also informed the crowd of key industry journalists that OER is currently working on a new authorized Mopar line and has begun work on parts for the Challenger, Cuda, Duster, Dart, Charger and other popular models.
“The fact that we could unveil some amazing project cars just in time to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Yenko Camaro, was a bonus and we are truly grateful to ‘Chop Cut Rebuild’ and D&P Chevy for that,” Leonard said. “We hope that the viewers and readers of the outlets in attendance will benefit from what we discussed and shared at our event.”
