My buddy Charlie picked me up at 5:30 A.M. on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 for a day trip to the Adirondack Nationals at Lake George, NY; The weather was perfect and we arrived and parked the car at 8:00 A.M. The main event run by the Albany Rods and Kustoms is one of the best deals going - $10.00 for a 3-day pass. The main event is held on the grounds of the Fort William Henry Resorts & Conference Center. The spacious grounds were filled to the max. I've never seen as many cars and people there as I did this year, and I've gone to this meet most every year that it's been held. One thing that I noticed was that there were many more Muscle Cars than I remembered from past shows, but who's complaining. Novas, Chevelles, Camaros, Mustangs, Cudas, Challengers, Comets, Vettes, etc. everywhere you looked - It was great! Also, Dennis Gage of My Classic Car was at the event checking out the cars and chatting with everyone. At Noon time we decided it was time for our traditional lunch at the A&W Drive-in, but we walked in; The non main event is the never ending show on the street - Hundreds of cars lined the entire Village of Lake George and cruised non-stop. What a setting with the Fort, the Lake and all the shops and restaurants as a backdrop for the cars. There was also an area set up in a parking lot by the Lake for Vendors. There's always new cars to see at this show and we had a great time; This event is always held the weekend after Labor Day with registration for next year's event beginning January 31st, 2011, but keep in mind that entries for the show is limited to vehicles 1979 and older, and limited to 1500 vehicles; This year's show was sold out in 12 days. I hope you enjoy my pictures and Never Forget September 11th, 2001... Walt Smolenski
