Jimmie Vaughan, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and over 60 media folks were at the NHRA Motorsports Museum to honor music, hot rods, guitars, and kick-off the opening of the new Axes & Axles exhibit at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum.
Together with the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, CA, the Museum put together an impressive display of over 15 iconic guitars including Eddie Van Halen’s monster-build guitar known as “Frankenstein”. Then there’s the lineup of immaculate cars such as Michael Anthony’s flamed ’33 Highboy roadster, Jimmie Vaughan’s ’61 Caddy “Ironic Twist”, and of course the fabulous rides of ZZ Top frontman Billy F Gibbons – CadZZilla and the Mexican Blackbird.
