Veterans Day is this Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010. It is a celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

SPC Kevin J. Graham 1982 - 2009 gave his life for our country that he loved. He was KIA in Afghanistan serving the USA on September, 26 2009.  Kevin also loved Muscle Cars & Street Rods. Kevin was a proud owner of a 1965 Pontiac Lemans. His love for cars began as a young boy as he watched his dad build a 1939 Ford Sedan into a street rod. Through the years Kevin and his family traveled to many cars shows and met many friends around the country.

Kevin’s parents, Dan & Sandy Graham & his brothers Danny, Sean & Scott, began thinking of ways to honor Kevin’s life. They also wanted to help support the troops and their families. Knowing of Kevin’s love for muscle cars, they created Kevin’s Krooze, an annual Memorial & Car Show to honor Kevin, other fallen heroes and to benefit soldiers and their families. Here are the Pictures and Video from Our Roving Reporter Dale Satterlee and a little story of the event. www.kevinskrooze.com

Kevin’s 1965 Pontiac LeMans

Here it is Sept. 25th at 5 AM and Paulette and I are up early to travel to the Mike Miller County Park Complex to an event called “Kevin’s Krooze”. The event was to honor our fallen heroes and support our troops. It was brought about by Dan and Sandy Graham, parents of SPC Kevin J. Graham, 5th Brigade Combat Team who lost his life along with several of his team members in Afghanistan.

The ceremony started out with an Honor Guard and Color Guard presenting the flags. Then the traveling Patriot Motorcycle Guard

(#20) came winding down the entrance road between the hills and trees escorting Kevin’s 1965 Pontiac LeMans with 20 more behind. It was a very somber moment. You could hear a pin drop! I tried to film it from atop the bleachers with the wind blowing at me, so bare with me on the video clip.

There were many vendors and lots of food available, live music and a 50/50 pot. All of the proceeds from this event went to the Fisher House at the Fort Campbell, Kentucky Base. The Ceremony ended with the playing of taps echoing across the trees and hills-very beautiful.

Please enjoy the pictures and support our troops -Until next time, Dale Satterlee - Roving Reporter, Western Kentucky
