Point Fermin Park in San Pedro is one of those overlooked jewels along the coast. The old lighthouse still has it’s prominent spot at the top of a 300 foot cliff. The grass covered park is home to the annual Legends Car Show by the Sea. Normally, the show is proceeded by the Lions Club International kids soap box derby downhill race. With all the proceeds going to charities. Not so this year, the city’s street closure fees were not waived so after 10 years and $78,000. raised for charities, the downhill race had to be cancelled.

However, the Car Show had a large variety of cars lined up as far as the eye could see. Nearly 400 cars took advantage this fantastic park setting. Two live bands entertained the spectators all day. Several vendors exhibited everything from clothing to knick-knacks along with some great looking food & drinks. This is defiantly a family outing with car owners bringing the kids. The sponsors of this show should be proud. For information on other Lions/Legends events contact Vince Lauro at 310 350-2515, this show is limited so register early.

Thanks for the Show!!
