Well, tonight we got in our last Placers Blast to the Past Make-A-Wish Super Cruise at the Toledo Speedway. The weather was letting us know it was time to end the cruises here in Northwest Ohio. It was 60 and breezy and chance of rain, but we managed to have the cruise. We accomplished our goal with the help of all the cruisers this season from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan to be able to grant two children their wishes coming up in December. I have to say on behalf of myself and Cathy a very big THANK YOU to all the cruisers who supported us and the Placers Car Club this season for Make-A-Wish and our tornado disaster relief cruises this season and the massive support we got for the American Graffiti tour night for Make-A-Wish.
Cathy and I resigned this evening from putting on the cruise next year, but I must say it has been a very fulfilling year for us, and Cathy has done it for the last 7 years. We want to thank our 50/50 staff, volunteers and once again Cruisin Zeake did a fantastic job as always spinning the tunes with his crew, Barb and the cruiserettes. We thank all our sponsors who supported us to make this cruise what it is.
We don't know who yet will take over the cruise next year, but the cruise and whoever does it will be equally successful.
